LOL @ the 240 bashing, no comment Yeah honestly unless you have a fascination with the rotary engine and want more seats and a more comfortable car I'd go with the S2000.

 

Yeah, I found the 240 bash mildly amusing as well...its sad that they are getting the same rep as civics (cheap and overdone). I guess i need to just test drive some 2000s and RX8s. Ill let you guys know what I decide! Also, are any of you all located in southwest va? Id love to get involved with a good car club, or possibly create one. Hit me up

 

Every RX8 owner I have ever met has bought it solely for looks and couldn't drive it. I love my S2000, every time I walk out to my car I can't believe it's mine. My dad liked it so much he's buying something similar.

They are beautiful, full of potential, already powerful and nimble. Everyone I've talked to thinks it's a beautiful car, and everyone I drive in it is astonished at how well it performs. I have NEVER had any kind of reliability issues, but then again it only has 27,7xxmi on it. Can't really go wrong with a roadster.

I have never driven an RX7, but I know they have a lot going on. RX8's just seem like the fatter younger brother who just can't do the same stuff. It'll probably be nice having 4doors, but it just seems like a knockoff sports car, even though it has all of the essential elements, it seems like it's missing something, or has something it shouldn't.

 

It is obvious that all this 240 bashing is aimed directly at the ugly step child of 240s....the S13.

 

I completely agree with this, most RX8 owners these days are pussies that know nothing about the car or what it was built for. As for the car, remember all the different numbered RX cars were pretty much a rotary experiment in a different type of vehicle. The RX4 was the wagon, the RX7 was the full out sports car that didn't sell too great because the suspension was too stiff for street driving and the reliability issues. So now comes the RX8, which is a more reliable engine in a refined and somewhat practical car. Its not the next RX7 or a replacement for the RX7, its a completely different car. Cool. Thanks for the link. And i have to agree that the 240 bashing was aimed at the S13, not as much at the S14/S15. Like I said tho, Ill have to test drive, see what I like more, and then hit you guys up with the result!

 

Well that video was wild, I thought for sure the RX7 would be the choice, but I can see where he is coming saying what's better for the track might not be for the road.

Consumer reports gives the RX8 a I might be starting to accept it at least a little more.

 

id say neither, and get something less bandwagon, maybe a kia!
