Hey steve... sorry.. I stand corrected. I've always assumed it was 3 lobes because of the 3 stages. How's the B14 coming along? I just got my 95 SE-R 3 weeks ago.. I LOVE IT!! Not sure what I want to do just yet. I've thought about a VE swap... but I don't think I can live without a turbo. Especially going from 400whp to 125whp. lol..

It's doing well. Just doing little things to the car now. Basically, I built the car for things like HPDE's at VIR and Summit Point. Just got back from VIR last weekend. Car did really well. For the record its 185whp not 125whp. I should be at about 190-195whp within the next year. Taking it slow with mods now. It would be tough to step down from a turbo to a NA car.

 

Are u trying to tell me a Ls/Vtec is worthless???? I think its a awesome engine and im in the middle of making one, weve had ls/vtecs run alll over b16 hatches, GSR's, and blah blah blah. You just have to know the limits. But neways i think vtec is awesome, i mean nothing like a turbo or supercharger but stil ncie to have.

 

LS/VTEC isn't worthless, it's just not my cup of tea, Not without some good internal building.

just put a b16 against a b18 in hatches and let them lose on a track and let the times speak for themselves.

 

Just put an SR20DET in a hatch... and then watch it go.

All I know is before I got my vtec working I got walked by my friend in 3rd gear now that I have vtec I have him by 3 car lengths in second gear. I don't have any other views yet.

 

a "obd 1" ls motor in integra,civic,civic hatch....vs a b16 in the same car will get beat..b16's suck unless you do some work to them the obd 2 ls motor is accually alot slower then a obd 1 ls.ive never been beat by anything b16 powered..i have a 95 integra se...infact i dont know if he comes on here but i raced a yellow type r about 5 months ago 4 or 5 times and beat it every time.. he swore i was spraying but i didnt have nitrous anymore..soo with that said fuck v-tec anyone else wants some besides charlie with the black h22 prelude then look for the green integra with the bodykit looks like a gsr but its not..haha hey charlie we havent raced from a stop yet......
