I would suggest some where in Yorktown, where alot of military from Langley reside(the AF housing is there). Anywhere up and down Magruder would be great, and is only about 5-10 minute drive to get onto Langley. Are you lokking to buy or rent?

Good advice right there Brian. There is a decent sized house for sale in my neighborhood for $300k if you're interested 5 miles from Langley's gate.

You need to give a price range and whether you want to buy or rent. York county is expensive but nice

If you can find somewhere off Saunders the houses are still affordable and decent neighborhood. Lots of cops live out there so I guess it helps with theft and the like.

Well Im looking to buy possibly but I need to be able to get the house payment and the taxes, ect... down to around 1200 a month total. Cause a single staff only gets around 938 a month cap and I have some other bills I need to pay too. My cap is possibly around around 240,000 depending on loan rates and stuff. Ive never bought a house before either.

So if its a better idea to rent let me know. I would like somin with off street parking though.

Thanks for all your help guys, the realtors and the stuff Ive looked up online hasnt been very helpful.

Trying to stay below 1200 a month total after the payment, taxes, insurance, and misc fees will keep you well below the 200,000 mark. You might want to try renting. Go through Coventry. There are a bunch of town houses with garages for rent.
