crawl under the car and look at the boots, if they are ripped/split then change the axel. Very common with hondas, and super common with lowered hondas.

back from the dead yes, i was searching for drag radials and found this thread haha

haha yeah that too, but if people can't tell bad axels/cv joints, then they should be driving huffies.

i have not broken a single axle in my civic, and i have ran slicks on it at the track numerous times(in which i launched off my two step at 4800rpm and 0.7 bar of boost). But usually when you break an axle on a honda its actually the cv joint that just gives out.

Talking about axels going bad under normal conditions, not breaking them. But yeah the axel itself doesn't go bad, however it is much easier to just replace the axel than to rebuild one, if you don't know what you are doing.

as far as axles, i never broke one in the accord,and i beat the shit out of it, i slid into a curb doin about 30mph and only bent the control arm and lil bit of the subframe, its a strong ass car
