I was referring to getting allmotorSOHC a copy of your basemap.

The P28 would have worked fine with vtec disabled, yes. I'm assuming you aren't using a vtec head because you're using a P06? They're actually the exact same ECU, the vtec parts are missing on a P06. Add a knock board and you have a P30. The only difference is the stock programs, the mainboard is identical for a lot of OBD1 ECUs.
