I read the whole article and also checked out the founder of the company and checked out the local chapter of Madd here in VA. There are some interesting facts including the founder stepped down after the orginazation side tracked from the intitial plan and now is trying to promote in basic terms "any percentage of alcohol is considered under the influence" and they say drinking is irresonsible. But when questioned about the media on the topic that using the cell phone while driving causes almost or more accidents than drunk driving they had no comment and said "we aren't talking about cell phones we are talking about beer" Its obvious these people are bias and don't trying to fix the problems that cause accidents which are many factors but focus on one and thats drinking. And did you know that if you contribute donations to your local MADD organization, you think you are helping out the community, WRONG those donation dollars goes straight to corporate headquarters.

This link http://www.alcoholfacts.org/CrashCourseOnMADD.html taught me a lot about this organization and though it takes a long time to read its interesting. I love to drink I don't promote drunk driving although its fun to do in a field or wheelin were you will only hurt yourself. But I don't want to be scared to drive if I go to a local bar drink 3-4 in a 1-2 hour time perioud and have the knowing fact that I know I am not drunk even though this MADD group is trying to stop all of drinking and then driving. If they succeed there goes your local bars cause a lot of people that go drink a few and drive home. The ones who get drunk at the bar then yes they need a way home were they are not the driver.


I think this organization needs to be shut down they are promoting the wrong things. I promote not driving while intoxicated. However drinking a few and being sober is not a crime and they are trying to promote that it is. I read a story about how a MADD official held a gun to a guys head that came out of a bar and was getting ready to drive home. The only thing that happened to this official is they stepped down from their position. THAT IS BS if me or you did that you know what would have happened.

Thats not something one would usually brag about. Unfortunately you are still around to do so.

 

Well, in my family it's an acheivement. The top is 2, and I beat it. Even having such a nice car is an acheivment in my family too.
