no the xm is connected directly to my alpine head unit thru an adapter box
im not sure what needs to be done to stop the whining we looked at the ground he said it looks fine, it might be the power wire running along the same path like you stated i really dont know, he had to leave last nite and head up to nj

Alright sorry about that but ill be working tomorrow and other than that ill be partying (it is new years eve). I am off of work most of next week so ill let ya know.

i thought i'd let you know i think we found the issue, i bought a bad adapter, that little box that connects to the head unit
apparently on the black cable that goes up from adapter to hu the ground wire in that bunch of wires apparently was sliced and all it has is silver thin wire nothing around it individually so it looks like i will be paying 50 bucks for a new one uggg hopefully that will solve the issue though

can you please look for one cheaper, i would greatly appreciate it and i would pay you to fix mine and like i said i wouldnt mind driving out that way to get it looked at
