I really really really doubt that! To much LIABILITY.
nope according to them you show up, tech your car. have a classroom meeting, and away you go but under supervision just as in an scca school.... or at least the way it used to be. Then at the end of the weekend if you prove your not better at say model ship building, you can run the time attack.... I know what your thinking but they havent had any incidents so far.. they are running the shennendoah circuit so its a little safer than the main circuit........

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate the info.
SCCA does allow rank novices into their licensing schools. Perhaps that's part of why so many cars get destroyed at those events? Classroom and observation are good, but nothing works better than good old fashioned in-car instruction.
The walls are a LOT closer on Shenandoah than those on the main track. Remember how the chute (T4) on the main track was before they widened it a few years ago? That's pretty much how the entire Shenandoah Circuit is... in terms of distance to hard objects at least. It's slower, but twistier and much more technical. It's a very fun track for sure, but I would consider it worse for novices because it's not as easy to get away with mistakes there.
I have plenty of pics and in-car video of the place if anyone would like to see it. Or come to the NASA event there on April 1-2 and I'll take you for a ride.
At any rate I wish you guys luck...
Thanks again for the info,

To run in a regular NASA TT you need to be advanced HPDE, instructor certified, or roadrace licensed.
Thanks,
Jon
I saw a time attack thing on Redline TV this morning. Chevy had a cobalt out there that beat up on everything else. It was great to see a colbalt beat purpost built skylines, rx7s, evos and STIs.

nope i am working for both but you didnt hear this from me.... this is off the record.... its BS....... if your gonna have an event... say we decided to have an event for time attack wouldnt it make sense of you had a magazine / media company to help you that you would do it in a way that would draw attention to the event so you could market it correctly...... as redline is doing... not wedging it into a regular race weekend with media people booth spaces, newbies and general regular road racers all trying to get track time in the same usually already crowded weekend. I know its a risk doing a stand alone event but the event has gotta make it on its own....... I dont think the formula willl work as well as they all want it too. but i will be there with my car at most of them......... I will post the official primedia info as soon as i get it... euro tuner / super street time attack sponsored by greddy. falken and someone else... thats all i know and the dates .....lol......
thanks
thanks
