I got pulled over in My old Firebird last year for speeding and the State tropper noticed the Nitrous bottle behind my passenger seat.. It wasnt hooked up but he still wrote me a ticket for driving a car equiped with Nitrous Oxide.. I went to court and told the judge that it wasnt hooked up, and she had to look up the law in the law book she had there.. This is what she read to me..
You can have N20 in your car if it is Not hooked up and not easy to access ( meaning you cant reach behind your seat with a wrench and hook the line up).. Lucky for me when I got the ticket my tools were in my hatch so It wasnt easy for me to hook up the kit..

Long story short I was found guilty for 10 over and the N20 ticket was dropped!! This was Last May..

I've ran nitrous and I've been pulled over with the bottle sitting in my passanger floor board and the cop didn't say a word about it. From what I have been told is the bottle can not be hooked up, or the lines can not be connected. Basicly, there can not be a way for you to get nitrous into the motor. Used to be, the bottle had to be closed, but with all the remote bottle openers, they had to change that. Just hide the lines and throw a towel over it. Cop can't reach in and move it without your permission.

bottom line it is illegal to have nitrous hooked up AND easily accessible. just throw a jacket over it if you are riding around in a crx. i have a sleeping bag over mine in the back.

 

i had nitrous in a crx... just cut the bottom of a duffel bag out and place it over the bottle.unzip to open the bottle . i had mine right behind the passenger seat.

 

how big of a shot you plan or runnin in the crix? just get one of thoes sneaky pete bottles or w/e their called and put it behind your driver seat, i know you always got the west coast gangsta lean goin so the cop wont see that shit hahahaha

 

I have had mine in open view behind my pass. seat the past two times I have gotten pulled over. They didnt notice or they didnt care. Not sure which one.
