SR20det Timing Problems
Thats basically what Im tryin to ask...I get the motor where it needs to be...what do i line up on the CAS there are 4 slits in the disc inside the cas each one is a different size..Im assuming these are for each cylinder, whats #1
set the crank to TDC second mark from the left.
Ensure that the number one cylinder is at TDC
Remove the valve cover
loosen the bolts holding the CAS in the motor.
Remove the CAS and ensure the two punch marks on the CAS are facing you.
Turn the punch mark nearest you counter clockwise slightly.
Push the CAS into the motor and the punch on theCAS should line up with the punch on the Cam sprocket itself. Use a ruler or strait edge to ensure its lined up.
replace valve cover, retighten bolts and attach a timing light to the coilpack harness. There are two wires that are black in the harness. One of them loops out of the harness and back into it. Attach the timing light wire to it and set timing to 15 degrees.

You shouldnt be touching those discs. There's a CAS cover for a reason - don't take it off and tamper with it. Like everyone else said, just line up the dots and everything should run like normal. To get the engine to TDC line up the ticks on the crank pulley. TDC is the second tick from the left. Shown as the "X" in this example; l X l l l l
