yeah chances are one thing is broke, and about a dozen other things in there are close to broken that would need replacing so i say buy a new one, saves ALOT of time.

 

ya, it turns out you'r right. I took it to the local tranny shop and found out that the main bolt holding the shift fork assembly together was sheered off. so basically the shifter and the forks were disconnected from eachother.

The shop told me it looked like someone had been in it before and had done some shotty work that caused the transmission to be alot harder to get into gear wich somehow sheered the bolt off at the shiftfork assembly... so in otherwords the tranny is soo F*cked that it would be cheaper to get a new one. Looks like an excuse to get me a new stage 3 shep tranny =).
