most other companys versions make a broader tourque curve, not just kick in at a certain rpm. that what makes it feel so special. personally i like torque, i like having area under the curve, i like to have 200hp at 3000 rpm not 170 at 8000rpm. oh and by the way, vanos owns all.

yeah, celica gts's are dissapointing. they have the shittiest gearing. theyre alot heavier than a type-r as well. but yeah, a type-r would pull much harder.

vtec IS overrated because EVERYONE does it, and a few do it better.

You need to ride in a Nissan with VVL. Easily the equal of VTEC. Engages at two points for a broader tq curve. My intake cam engages at 4300rpm and my exhaust enages at 4700rpm. I have a real broad tq curve all the way to 8K. Kinda like a H22 just with a 2.0 liter sr20ve engine. Oh, and vtec or vvl is a little over rated. People seem to expect it to be the equal of forced induction or something. Honda's biggest advantage is its light civic frame. 2000lbs cars will be easy to make fast.
