Maybe he had pulled someone over for speeding, and was finishing up about to pull off when you passed. Once you passed, he began to merge, merged, and then pulled someone over and was doing the same thing when you came back through?

Or maybe s/he had broke down, and he put his lights on to alert other drivers of the hazard, and then some fine upstanding citizen pulled over in front of her/him to be of some assitance?

right at my neighborhood in greenbrier off of Volvo Road, there is a small "hill" like overpass for the golf carts to go under for the country club...a "usual" cop sits in the middle where cars make left and right turns, with his nose against the start of the grass median, facing the traffic that will pop over the hill...

this is a 35 to 45 mph zone....so people like to speed up early....but, he blocks the traffic turning left that are leaving the neighborhood and you can barely squeeze by him....i have sat there honking one time, and he just ignored me....

I walked up there from my house and took some pictures of him sitting there, only to have him harass me later.....he just wanted to show off....but I Emailed them in to our magistrate and some other offices...(wasn't sure on where to send them)

and yet, they still sit there.....not always the same guy

oh ps though.......my buddy got a ticket near that area as well, well i was driving behind him and saw the whole thing.....the cop was sitting on marked "private property" grass shooting radar at people....

i went to court with my buddy and was a witness and the cop admitted sitting there....and the judge dropped it do to him disobeying local laws

A cop I know in alexandria got a ticket IN HIS PATROL CAR....

It was from a red light cam, he was responding to a call (at like 3am) and there was no one on the road. He said he had flipped his lights on a second after the camera took his picture. His boss actually made him pay it saying that in order to run a red light legally he needed to have his lights on (even though there was NO ONE on the road and he had turned them on ( a second too late). He just laughed it off and said it was karma for a couple times he got pissy w/people that probably didn't deserve it.

Ooooh yeah, I am sure that is what happened. Virginia cops are some of the nicest ones I have met. If you think these cops are conniving, sneaky, arrogant little dicks, then go to Texas and get a smart mouth with one of their State Troopers.

You will be picked up at the local jail house with injuries you sustained while falling out of your car or climbing through the window with your seat belt on.

Also that area has you changing speeds like crazy. I think it goes 45, 35, 30 in a short distance.

I like the cops in N.N. on route 17. They like to sit in turning lanes with no lights on at all and run radar. I was thinking of rearending 1 day but i deciced that would be a bad idea. My word against his.
