You've heard speculation from people with no first-hand experience, then. And that's never good advice to pass on.

OP, If you plan to go b20/vtec, make sure you get it tuned! Honda doesn't have an ecu for this setup, since they didn't design it. Tuning it is important! So are ARP rod bolts and head studs.

Honda doesn't have an ECU for anything aftermarket. Technically if you add an Intake to a car it needs to be retuned.

The cylinders will be fine as long as the cylinder pressure doesn't go much over 260 psi. But if you are using factory pistons that will not be an issue.

you could get higher compression pistons but not too much higher.
