Like most people have stated above there are obvious perks with getting a new car, and I personally think there is potential with the RX-8 platform. It will definetly be more unique then a 240 although it won't be the fastest or quicks in the turns it'll still be plenty fast to keep you happy. Just my 2cents.

 

LS1 Swap 240sx....30mpg, 350whp, sounds awesome, good weight balance, did I mention 30mpg.

 

If you want to drive around in a girl car on the off chance that you might get a girl with it go right ahead.

i vote neither rx8= fake sports car

sr20det 240= definitely better option but unless you plan on overhauling the whole car

and putting a lot of money into it, itll just be another abortion of a car with 8 colors and

mismatched wheels that everyone refers to as their "work in progress"

The RX-8 is a HELL of a better Sprts car. Handles a LOT better, and its practical too. But Insurance is gonna be more, and most likely be more expensive than a 240.

 

And don't forget it's slower than Christmas after next and gets about 4mpg.
