Geeksquad isn't going to help you, you need a computer repair guy. There is a guy in central that is good at that stuff, I can't think of his name at the moment though.

geeksquad will rip you off... I've been a computer technician for over 6 years. I can tell you what to do to get all your data back "porn" . or I could do it for you for maybe half or even less than what geeksquad would charge you.

let me know... fchicas@coolvelocity.com

Can take a look at it for you if return postage is pre-paid, send me a PM with details/specs of the drive and I can shoot you back a confidential price. Have done data recovery for over a dozen VaDriven members.

if this was like a year ago, i could have helped u. I worked for this big data recovery place. I was able to recover my own stuff for free. They were freaken expensive though. Average cost was 2k per hard drive. When we did some terabyte server recoveries. those jobs would cost over 20k

I have very very very expensive hardware and software that is specially made for data recovery -- it's not what you're gonna find at CompUSA, Best Buy, or Circuit City's little geek squad things.

There was an article about me recently about recovering data on a hard drive that had long since been deleted, went back over 3 years and got stuff off of that. Case was federal and the suspect is expected to change his plea to guilty after reviewing my report.
Can you do laptop harddrives as well?
