well when you put cams in a lsx motor you give me a call. i would love to see it.

unfortunately that would go a little over this guys 1000 dollar budget.
Like someone said, 150 shot is the only way to get that on that budget. On an LS1 you’re gonna have to do the following things;
Intake
Long Tubes
Heads
Cam
Springs
Which of course will also burn any sort of stock LS1 clutch, so add an LS7 clutch to that (and getting it balanced accordingly)
So to get all motor, using used LS6 parts and getting a tune, you’re looking at at least $3000 I’d say $4500 safe side.

that's fine
502 rw heads/cam stock bottom end... call it 550-560 conservatively at the flywheel

his cam is about the same size as mine but it is matched with good heads as well.
some guys are going 450 rw cam only... depending on the cam and dyno.
that is not to say that everybody does, but its not unbelievable

I promise you that camaro has more than just "Heads and a Cam". UD Pulley, Roller Tipped Rockers, Long Tubes, just to name a couple of other things I'm almost sure it has.
