No, they just look nice. Thats why I still have my stock 17"s (which weigh MORE than the 19"s but have less rotational mass) for drag racing. Will be putting BFG G-force t/a drag radials on the stockers soon.

Just an fyi....my 19"s weigh 23.5lbs a piece whereas my stock SS 17"s weigh 24lbs a piece. GM = fail.

lol I know you are. But I gotta half ass defend myself to a point.....I do drive a Cobalt afterall. But yeah, 23lbs is still a heavy wheel, agreed. Just light for a 19". But its all good my car.......daily driver > race car......
