Ive seen some rx-7's for 8,000... my friend got a 94 turbo for exactly 8000....or do a hatch swap type deal....get a 92 civic hatch for like 2000, get a h22 swap for 1800, turbo it with all the good stuff and youll still fall shy of 8000, but u said stock, so i guess the rx7 is good

 

im thinkin a s14 240sx...the ka is a pretty reliable motor and can be upgraded itself down the road. also the potential for a SR/RB/whatever swap is there. the cars handle quite well, but only have two doors. i like the 4 drs, but thats just me. to me getting a cheap ass car and biulding the crap out of it almost destroys your ability to drive it daily and dependably. lets face it, we all would rather be driving them then working on em.

 

lt1- there's just something about torque, and its got power straight outta the box
civic-cheap, cheap to make fast, you have the same car as 50 million other people
rx-7-most unreliable car ever.
a3 vr6- thats what i spet my 10k on, i love it but it rivals the rx-7 in shit breaking

 

anyone forget about the 5.0 foxbody?

i know the LT1 has more bang out of the box, but everyone knows it doesn't take much $$ for a 5.0 to go 12's.

be it known i'd take the a4 LT1 over the fox body anyday, just giving another route.

And to add on to what the one guy said about rx-7's being the most unreliable car ever, not only that, but also the parts are expensive ass hell too!

Get a moped and dont worry about insurance
