Anybody want to come shoot trap right now?
If we're talking about new guns...
A 28" barreled 12ga Remington 870 Wingmaster is a nice gun, and they're like $650.
If you just want to do this on the cheap and don't care about "nice" though, you can get a 12ga Remington 870 Express with a 28in barrel for like $340 or a Mossberg 500 for under $300.
If you want to spend more or go used, there are a lot of options.
Get a 12ga, and if you get a pump get a 28" or 30" barrel.

You can do it with a Mossberg or Rem 870. I use a Rem 870 Classic Trap because I like trap (it's perfect for trap, very pretty, but also very expensive for a Remington 870). Unless you want to limit yourself to trap (i.e. not shoot sporting clays or skeet), don't get a trap gun.

I'll need to have a good excuse for the wife to justify the purchase lol.
I bet you could get a used Mossberg 500 for $150 or less, not much to justify there.
I'm bored. Anybody want to come shoot trap in Yorktown ($5/round, 1 round being 25 clays). We only have so much daylight left, so you'll need to let me know soon (takes me ~30 min to drive there). I'm an RO so I can open the trap range, but I'm not allowed to operate it as the only shooter. You'll need to have your own shotgun, eye protection (glasses count), and shells though (nothing bigger than #7.5 shot).
let me know when you want to go again. I have been dying to go.
For people who like to shoot trap and have Thursdays or Fridays off, shoot me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll add your name to the e-mail list I use for my Friday trap shooting group.
