Go for a drive, watch the boost gauge. See if it is Spiking. A lot of tuning programs have boost cut to stop the car from causing damage. However, you say it's breaking up so it may be your map sensor just saying fuck off to the boost and doesn't know what to do with itself. So, go out, retest and come back. If it is spiking, you may want to look into that.

 

but the car is fine in first and second from a dig.... pulls hard as fuck.

 

That is also when the car has less of a load on it, lower gear, tires are probably spinning and not creating full boost.
