I think the point is that you're shaving off hundreds of lbs and in the process attaining a better weight balance.

That or they're just aiming for bragging rights.
whatever the reason I have to admit, they earn plenty of cool points for engineering.
yeah, it's cool, but an overall better car? fuck no. a miata engine can be made to put down just as much, probably more power than a busa motor. and there's much better ways to shave weight, if nothing else it seems like shaving 150lbs in the front would make the car handle worse at higher speeds.

hopefully you aren't don't become the voice of the forum...since when has modding cars been about being practical? if you want practical we would all be talking about dope cup holder placement

You can get a miata to 18xx lbs with a stock motor. If all they can do is 2000lbs with a busa motor, they're idiots.

this swap is one of those things you see at a car show and go "oh cool, a bike motor in a car" and then you think about it for a while and start handing out face palms.

if you want to drop a motor in a miata that isn't exactly practical and still have a cool factor, drop a 20b in the bitch, i'm sure they car rev to at least 10k, but i'm not up to date on my rotaries. but i do recall some 1,500hp+ 20b motors..

oh, and don't bike motors take a shit pretty quickly? imagine how long it'll last pulling a car's weight.
