Yea, but it also weakens the pipe, and over time it is likely to crack open (the joint). Its not the biggest deal or cause for alarm, but its nice to get it done right the first time.

I just ordered the 3 inch o2 eliminator turbo back setup. I was planning on going with RnR, but I have heard some bad things about shipping times with them.
