what kind of rims are they? did you paint the center caps?

your dad is wrong... you CAN sand rims... I had my old ones sanded before they were painted... you have to sand them anyway to get imperfections out...just sand them and repaint them... its a 3 hour thing and its supposed to be nice out today and tomorrow

 

i tried to pm u back but it wouldnt work for some reason....you want to sand down the rim completely dude...i had my rims done by more impatient (ricky) talk to him he should be able to help u a lot but u do want to sand them down to take the coating off of them

 

wetsand with the paper recommended earlier, wipe the wheel down/let dry, spray a coat of primer, sand if need be, spray the wheel, use tape or index cards to keep paint/primer from getting on the tire, let dry, apply another coat, let dry, if youre happy with it, then youre done, if not, keep applying coats.

 

use the paint they have made for rims , u can find it any place like advanced or auto zone , its like 5 bucks a can and get sum clear coat, it works pretty good , just make sure they are clean b4 u primer/paint them or they will look like shit and bubble
