no some JE forged pistons, 11.5 compression. Lookin for something different. I can get these for the same price as type s pistons with a little higher comp.

How much do shops usually charge to sleeve?

I would like to clarify some on the whole FRM sleeving issue as I have kept up with it and read up on it extesively, First of all crate you are partially correct however in the tests by the guys on the ENDYN board they used the wiseco pistons but the tests were inconclusive because the guy that was using them tore down the engine before they failed and the damage to the sleeve's has been attributed to possible gap issues and not necesarily the pistons themselves as the engine during it's 15,000 mile life as a turbo H22 with no sleeves did not burn excessive oil OR have any symptoms of failure until it was torn down, I believe the compression tests were inconclusive as well so I think provided you use the proper pistons (coated) and have the right gap in theory they should work out OK but I am not of the financial means right now to be the guinea pig. Until we really have some conclusive results there is still the potential to use the FRM sleeves.

This being said, the safest bet to re-build the block for turbo is to either re-sleeve etc OR there is also the ability to take an accord F22B1 (SOHC VTEC) bottom end and mate it to an H22 head, making it a DOHC VTEC with iron sleeves originally and avoiding the re-sleeving process and just honing and dropping in some low comp wiseco's or JE's. This is the route I am looking into to build a 15psi 2.2L boosted beast.

Does anyone have all of the steps and parts needed to put a H22 Head on a H23 bottom end.

If anyone is interested, I have a H23 transmission for sale $125. It shifts fine I drove on it when I brought the car, but I had a H22 trans that I put in.The Honda dealer said eventually second gear will need synchronizers.

I have a memphis amp and JL 12 in a ported box for sale too. Email me if you are interested. cvmardre@cs.com
