I would get the y8, but I just finished gettin the one I have port and polished, and all that crap, plus I already put everything together and hooked it all up. The only thing I need to do now is put the right ecu in, and finish wiring up vtec.

I just had to go through all that mess. Things learned: ]

1. I had to use the d16z intake manifold due to gasket design plus iacv is different.
2. throttle body 3-2 wire conversion on throttle body has to be changed out, in order to get close to idling right.
3.You will need an obd 1 distributor from a 93-95 si TD-42U and then convert the dizzy connector to the obd2 that is on your car right now.

What other things has been done on the head? No bigger cam, right?

4. good idea to buy a new belt 1996-2000ex belt from honda $34.00. Water pump 63.00 from honda. 17.00 water thermostat 1996-2000ex from honda, 1 radiator coolant,1 gal. distilled water. Oil change.

5. p28 ecu is needed, hard to find.

You are much better to sell or trade your z6 head for a y8 head while you have a chance. Save yourself from buying a dizzy,p28, conversion harness, changing over distributor connector. Much less chances to throw codes. Hope this helps.

I do have a 1996-1998 p2p 5spd. will sell for 125.00 checked out from next level ,and me on two different civics. Or will trade for a working 5spd p28 ecu.

Everything seems to be working fine except my idle is off. Everything work and runs. I've drivin it about 2 miles with everything the way it is. The only thing that isn't working right is the idle. Well and vtec, because I haven't hooked up the vtec ecu yet. Its only throwing one code, and its the one for my IACV.

Cool, sounds like you just need the p2p then. Simple swap. Good luck.

Yea everything is running great.....the only thing its still doing is... my idle is a reving up and down between 1500 and 1700 rpm's and something is hissing from around the intake manifold. I think it might be a vacuum leak. I'm not sure.
