Ls throttle body on D series intake mani
If you don't need the extra flow, don't bother. Time and money better spent elsewhere, come back to the TB later down the road..
yeah well im boosted so i figured the better flow is gonna do alot for me plus there isnt much else i can do externally of the motor next im probly just gonna build a whole motor
turbo cam/cam gear, a new IM would benefit you more than just the TB, i know you're still looking for a clutch and a lightweight flywheel would help a lot....there are tons of stuff to do still. If you want to open up some flow though i'd really look at an aftermarket IM like the Victor X which has a very large plenum...
well actually the h22/h23 throttle bodies are 62mm and yes they do make a difference that is quite noticeable! i had a 98 h22 throttle body on my 98 d16y8 in my civic ex coupe and i noticed a nice gain. the stock y8 was 56mm and the h22 is 62mm, now why wouldnt that be worth your time to swap them?????
i even ported the intake where the throttle body bolted up because the intake opening was much smaller than the throttle body. so if i had to do it again i would definately do it again!

anyone know abnout how much it would be to port the intake manifold?? i know i could get it for free but it would take too long ..any suggestions of a certain place to go or anything?
im sure it wouldnt be hard to do yourself. if not, talk to more impatient, i believe he was doing some porting himself. if so im sure hed probably do it cheap just to get more practice.
