i had silverstars before i switched to piaa and i did a comparison...a silverstar on one side, and a piaa on the other. the piaa kicked sylvanias ass...

I did the same comparison. The Silver Stars weren't decent at all. They were cheap but more expensive than the Cool Blues. I think the majority of people will buy these because they are "legal" compared to the ebay bulbs and other lighting companies. The only problem I've had with the PIAA bulbs listed above was the fact that they ran so hot. I had to replace the harness with their heavier duty set. The majority of people won't purchase $70-$130(PIAA or Raybrig) for halogen bulbs. There have been multiple threads on this board contrasting the H.I.D. systems versus conventional halogens. Again people stress HID temperature but I don't give a shit. I have 10K in my S2000 and they are bright and look great. I've still benefitted everything from the original setup and more so it was worth it.
