Got a ticket! Laws on Exhaust in Northern VA?
yea that's why my bro is pissed...he was pulled over for exhaust, not for some traffic/speeding violation and then cop noticed exhaust.... In town I can understand it because some aftermarkets are LOUD when accelerating from a stop, but this was cruising 65 on the INTERSTATE (RT 66)
k&n cone air filter isn't considered illegal is it. And I didn't know about that anythign non-oem like an exhaust is illegal, that's gay as shit. I don't see those cops pulling over any domestics that make loud ass noise.

It means nothing to Virginia cops.
You're screwed, luckily it was only a $50 ticket, when I got mine in fairfax 2 years ago it was $70. Maybe you haven't included the court costs in your ticket. Either way, it's not worth taking to court, you would just be wasting your time and money. Anything aftermarket is illegal. Next time you see a cop, position your throttle where your exhaust is the quietest and don't look at him. You got off easy seeing as your tint and suspension is illegal too.
Yea my first exhasut ticket was 85bucks. Shit sucked. And for the carb legal thing, doesnt matter. That differs from state to state. You could have a aftermarket exhaust(if you pass the decibal test and hold that certificate in your car)and an aftermarket intake with a carb stickerin cali. In virginia though anything thats not stock can be considered illegal. Cops really didnt care a couple years back but now they are really starting to crack down. Damn it.
It's situations like this that makes cops harass import drivers.
