no i meant slightly higher compression, the skunk2 valves have a flat top raising the compression ever so slightly.

so, flat versus the 'relief' in the valve in the face...interesting.

In my opinion the "thinner" head gasket is pointelss Crate. Raising compression by one full point, on average, will net 10-15 hp. Taking the time to pull the head just to gain 2-3 hp would not be worth your time if you ask me. If you want more compression do it right with pistons.

just out of pure boredum, when i should be studying. i found the math online to figure out the CR's for a USDM h22. did it over w/ the 10.6:1 of the jdm and came up with.

if we milled .0.20" we would be at 11.2:1 compression.

or, just buy type-s pistons for like 300 bux and be at 11:1.

buy type-s pistons, and a head gasket and be at 11.2:1

just info... useless almost cuse ill never have the $ to do anything anyway =]
