must the companys we repersent dont want to cover the after market stuff. If something happens to the car they will only pay for what came from the factory. Unless it is a radio or something that is located in the stock location of factory radio and you have the receipt. If you want to cover mods you have to pay for the optional insurance whic most of the time you will pay a ass load for.

Im with Covra4B. Call your company. The number one pain in the ass when people come in our office is people saying their friend pays this and shit like that. For some reason people listen to everybody about insurance except their agent/company.

Yeah, I had a roomate who worked at Geico for like 6 years answering phones and giving out quotes.
Your best bet is to report any aftermarket parts just so that your money put into the turbo is protected in case of theft or it is damaged in an accident.
It never hurts to call.

only your insurance company would know for sure...

but i'd imagine that your insurance might rape you because you're only 16 and you're going from at most 168hp N/A midsize car to 300hp turbo sports car.

just an idea... i'm sorta in the same boat as you... mind you my driving record isn't completely clear and i'll be 21 next friday so i'm a bit older and have had my own policy for several years... but im buying a '91 Z N/A soon and for the same liability i have on my monte carlo it's going to increase only $84 every six months... but if i get any form of collision/comprehensive, my insurance increases at least $468 every six months bringing my policy up to about $1200 every six months... and that's not even a turbo car... just a N/A 2 seater 5 spd
