If a good beater is all you really want, i highly suggest getting rid of the dime-you-to-death escort and pick up a festiva. That or sell that one, and pick up another one. Its kinda odd, ive seen some of those cars(same color, year, etc..) do strange things. One might never have a single problem, one might fall apart all the time. Doesnt make sense. GL

if you are going to swap in another motor for it, just break down and get the 1.8L DOHC BP motor, tranny, ecu and wiring harness out of a 91-96 Escort GT/Mazda MX-3. they are good, reliable motors, plus there is aftermarket support for it unlike that 1.9L SOHC SEFI you got in it now.
and Adam, that Escort that they did on Pimp My Ride looked pretty damn good with that BMW body kit and headlights on it. and people were putting that BMW stuff on there 2nd gen (91-96) Ford Escorts before WCC did.

*is with zero cool* Seeing as how iam trying to make it runable...and iam sure if i sell it later and i go..Oh...Hey..this isnt ford motor..its a mazda MX-3 motor and blah blah blah...iam sure as hell its gonna be hard as hell to sell it...right now i got the $500 doller or best offer sticker on my windshield....i want a damn jeep.....
