4th GEN RX7!!!???
TTT

I am just trying to imagine what kind of power a turbocharged RENESIS engine is gonna produce... Let's do some figures shall we.
Assuming just for comparison sake the 13B-REW(Twin Turbo 3rd gen version) and the 1991 13B is the addition of turbos then we can also inherantly assume the following:
Naturally Aspirated 13B: 160 HP
Turbo 13B: 255 Hp
According to this comparison the turbo increases the power output of the engine by approximately 59.375%
Naturally Aspirated RENESIS 13B: 250 HP
Projected APPROX. Turbo RENESIS 13B: 398 HP
Of course this is just by using the same percentage of power increase that was achieved in the 13B-REW. These numbers are only validated by the math i used to accomplish them. If anybody knows a better way to guesstimate the potential power output of this amazing new little rotary wonder, feel free to let me know. That would be insane to have a a little 1.3liter engine come rolling off the factory line with close to 400 HP. This probably isnt realistic as it will probably only have a little over 300 hp due to likely problems the car would face in having that much power stock...who knows.

One little thing.....the more power your n/a motor makes, The higher the percentage of power increase. So that motor (Renesis) with the same turbo/boost will make more power than a weaker motor.

im talking in terms of looks. i dont own a rotary and hope i never do, but i read the review of the rx8 and they (sport compact car i believe) said it handled great in the corners but as far as straight line acceleration, was no match for the rx7 they were chasing. the rx8 is ugly in my opinion. id much rather spend my money on a 3 series bmw or a 350z.

Just so everybody knows...the RX-8 is not the next evolution of the Rx-7 nor it is a direct little brother to the RX-Evolv. The RX-8 is actually more closely related to the old RX-4's which were also a pseudo-sporty sedan. Obviously the RX-8 packs a considerable punch when compared to the RX-4 it is still not supposed nor intended to be a RX-7 replacement/contender. The spirit of the actual RX-7 makes no sacrifices to deliver the ultimate driving experience. There will be no back seat in an RX-7 nor will there be any truly useful storage space(unfortunately). As far as this video about the RX-8 out handling the RX-7 ...I don't know what you all saw but it is either rigged or the guy driving the RX-7 sucked or the RX-7 was in crappy condition. The specs alone should tell you who is gonna win that kind of race. One truly impressive race was the one I found on Kazaa...it was a race of true beasts in the sport compactcar world. the lineup inluded: 1 Skyline GTR R34, 1 Skyline GTR R33, 1 Honda NSK Type S, 1 Honda NSX Type Zero, 2 EVO Rs's, and 1 Mazda RX-7. The R34 almost won but the RX7 put in its place. I dont know about you guys but i can flat out gurantee a RX-8 cant pull against a Skyline, an NSX, nor a RX-7. Once again this is just my opinion.

I should say, it WAS on my other computer.
