w/o the pins......my CF hood (perfect fit, Mazdaspeed) would lift about 3 inchs on each forward corner at about 130 mph...not something that instilled much confidence on the track.

yeah, something that would take the brute force of the wind at those speeds couldnt be good for something that weighs 20 pounds. i think that any hood pin would do fine. i can ask terry baker where he got his for his m3 on monday if you want. hes an expert with stuff like this.

just get a good CF hood that latches down !

my hood does latch down.....using factory hardware. these hoods will still flex on the outer corners under high loads.

Yeah ... it's not like his car can even go over 25MPH anyway ...

Think I'm just gonna go to T&T on 17 and see if they have the Moroso ones.

I picked up a set from T & T a while back for the MG for about 10 bucks, a pretty descent set too. Check it out.
