That shifter will make a man out of you. The linkages don't take much more than some grease here and there to keep then functioning smooth, a removable tunnel plate is a must. The titanium bellhousing..weight savings? safety requirement because of the clutch/trans ? I know they are serious $$$..

It is definitely a beast. I heard good things about long shifters to decided to go with a used one I found in pretty good shape. The bellhousing is a titanium alloy (mostly aluminum) so it's not insanely lightweight but much lighter than a steel quicktime type bellhousing. I picked it because the quicktime housing was just out of my price range. I might end up making my own safety shield in case the clutch comes apart. I'm not making crazy power so hopefully it won't be an issue. Usually, not always, you will feel the vibration of the unbalanced clutch before it decides to grenade.

You'll probably be fine if the clutch decides to go. I don't know how high you plan to turn it or what clutch you'll be using... I have a Mcleod in my Foxbody that turns to 7800. I have a steel Lakewood bellhousing that has a oval hole cut in it to access the clutch adjusters, the hole has a heavy plate to close it off for "safety". Safety "rules" "require" a Ti bellhousing..not in the budget. Tech inspectors have never found it, and it's been re-certified under the SFI standards numerous times.

EDIT: I doubt you'll ever break that shifter. I have one on a Jerico 4speed. I have shifted it hard enough to pull the threads out of two different aluminum handles ..the shifter has yet to flinch.

Honestly I'm not sure how high i'm going to rev it, I know in the rules there aren't any specific requirements for scatter shields. At least not that I'm aware of. Something to think about for sure though.

I am really happy with the shifter.
