It's nice when dufus down the street decides he doesn't want to mow his yard or pick up trash... it makes the whole neighborhood look like crap.

FWIW I'm not in an association at all but I have gotten 3 letters from the city, apparently they have inspectors that drive around.

1. Your grass is over the allowed maximum height of 8 inches, pleas cut it or it will be cut for you and billed to you.

2. Waste Management does not pick up carpet or home remodeling debris, please remove items from street or they will be removed and billed to you.

3. Your house (garage door ) is in disrepair, you have 30 days to fix it. From when asshat Mike Key drove through it.

Eh... it's good and bad.
Yeah you said it the "idea", but since it's mostly a bunch of anal asses they take it to the extreme. Woman 2 houses down complains at times about how many cars come to my house at times. One day she yelled turn the bass down, I yelled back shut up bitch. 5mins later cops rolled up, asked me if I was blasting music. I told him I was tuning my system in MY driveway and being that king george has no noise ordance I've done nothing wrong. He looked at my muffler looked like he was going to comment about it, quickly I stated this is my off-road track muffler. It's on because I just came from the race track and since it's in my driveway it is not illegal to have since I didn't drive it to and back from the track....I had it on a trailer. Stupid woman thinks she knows they law more then me. I've seen that county dude drive around every now and then. Last month I was working on my car and he stopped in front of my house asked me how was I going to "properly dispose" the oil I just changed and asked can he insect around my house, I told him leave me alone before my dogs eat you alive(they hate dark ppl for some reason).

HOA can suck a fat one, my house my f*ing rules. I do as I please. They are tring to pressure me into signing that HOA letter, not going to happen.

Hmmm... whenever I'm working on my car my neighbors wander over and ask me about it. One's a fighter pilot so he loves speed. They usually ask me whats wrong with the car b/c it's newer and why am I always working on it. I explain that nothings wrong I'm just checking fluids, swapping brakes, and tires for track use.

We had a big cookout this past summer and it was pretty much an open invite. I pulled the girll around front, opened the garage doors and turned up the music... was a great time and a few nieghbors came over. Maybe I live in a cooler place

Seriously though... I don't speed in my neighborhood, don't make lots of car noise that often, it's worked for me. I did have an old guy yell at me to slow down when I was going 25 mph, but in 1st gear.

LOL yeah I bet 25mph sounds fast in your car. You probably do live in a cooler place. I don't speed in my neighborhood lots of kids running around. Some people are just annoying. 3 people in the neighborhood always complain about something dumb, from the chick that is having her 11th kid to the old guy who video tapes cars going by his house to show police who is speeding.

Damn nazi called the county on me yet again the day he listed his house for sale. This time because I haven't moved my car in awhile because I've been driving the other car and my truck instead.

ANYONE and EVERYONE... Please stop by with your extra vehicles and park them outside my house.

Bring a pink flamingo (or ten) and put them in the front yard if you can find them.

Oh, when there is an open house -- there will be a party.
