Dude i dont post much but i had to say something on this subject. I think you are the only person in the world who can feel my pain, with the curse of the h series cars. I had a h22 on nitrous (75hp zex kit years ago), that one cracked a ringland and scared the cylinder walls up real bad. Spent a shit load on letting a machine shop in lynchburg rebuild it. Sleeved, pistons, rods, valves, springs, retainer, the whole shit. That setup lets go on the dyno, acted like it blew a head gasket. Pull it apart and come to find out a sleeve had sunk, the rods werent bushed right, and a bunch of other shit caused by the machine shop that put the motor togther. Im on my 3rd set up but this one has been done right by people who know what is up. So hopefully i will finally ditch the curse of the h series. Sorry but i had to share my pain on this subject. So i wish u the best of luck and hopefully everything will turn out good for you. Maybe when i get mine done we can get togther at the track i seen your car a natrual bridge it is a real nice setup

Hey, sounds good, always nice to see other Prelude/Accord people!

I will be glad when this is over with, I have already made up my mind, that when I do part with this car, I am going to have either an NA daily driver or something that is turbocharged from the factory.. say an evo..

THEN have a project car ha..

well man sorry to say but the h22 start out in a 94 accord and now its in a 92 hatch. I also agree you have to have a reliable daily driver. The h is in my project for the t4 class in nopi this comin year. I just had to let you know that i feel your pain.

that last main bearing pic does not look good to me. On the upper side of the oil channel it looks like there is a line around the bearing that is copper. If so then a piece of debris went through there.

Overall everything else looks pretty normal. How do the thrust washer ends look?

Yea, that's the one I was concerned about, I think it should be ok.. I'm gonna polish it and replace all the bearings, that particular one had a green/brown combination, I'm gonna put in straight green in that one to gain a bit of clearance..

EDIT: just slid out the thrust bushings/washers and they look pretty good, gonna replace those too, might as well!
