I will..DO you understand what I'm saying though? I bought a piece of shit car to build for a track car. It had a new hood on it when I bought it but it was not latched...it' couldn't be latched because the crossmember is bent. The very first thing I did to this car was drop a B16 in it. I pinned the hood so I could drive the fucking thing. When I get the performance stuff done to the car and only then will I start making it look right. It would be retarded for me to spend money fixing the front end just so in a few months I can rip it all out. It's a TRACK car, the pins are needed to keep the hood on the car. When I have the time and money to invest into making it look good I will put on a carbon fiber hood and pin that. In the mean time I spent 15 bucks and pinned it so I can drive it. Do you not grasp what it means when I say the car is a track car and I don't care what it looks like? Now I will say that when someone has a functional hood latch it's retarded to pin a stock metal hood. Mine is not a nice car though so I just pinned it.

Somebody else please chime in and try to explain this better than I apparently am.

you know what i hate. people who are always pessimists. Why does a thread in which they might not care about have to be a dumb thread? If you don't care about it and it seems dumb to you, don't comment only on how dumb this thread is.

who knows, maybe some kids just getting into the scene saw this thread and rethought putting hood pins into their car. Maybe they want to have a nice (not rice) looking car and thought it would be an upgrade. Now they know that most people looking at the car may think it is a ricey upgrade.

(N/A TunersCivic- in no way am i saying you had no business posting, because you did provide a solution to a problem you thought you saw. basically i am trying to point that in no way is this post directed at you)

i think hood pins are god-awfull and ugly as balls. i have a cf hood and no pins. i have a good latch and my hood stays down fine.
