Ever filled for bankruptcy?
she's got an old car loan (that she sold a long time ago), plus mods and 3 motors, all in one loan cause she refinanced all her debt into one loan.. plus a few cards with alot on them from when she moved out and bought stuff for her house that her ex now has.... she just wants file to clean off and not owe anything so she has time to goto school. no way she can pay these bills and be a fulltime student... soo yea.
In all seriousness, people like this are why honest people have to pay more for things.
Why not take the Ex to court to get the stuff back. She can prove she paid for it....
Id recommend finding a better job and not filing for bankruptcy... it's not a good thing.
Stephanie Montgomery - She is in Williamsburg however. I believe you are on the southside.

not to be negative, but you dug yourself in debt, you should pay it back. i think bankruptcy is badnews, and it damnwell should be. sounds to me she is able to pay it back, she just wants a clean slate so she can go back to school. which, bytheway, will dig her back into debt, probably more than $20k.
she dug it, she should pay it back. im not going to lie, between car and credit card, im around 30k deep. but im working to pay it off like it should be done. i would imagine within 7-10 years, shes going to want to buy things on credit, like a car, house, ect, and bankruptcy is going to ruin that.
i think she should reconsider, but thats my 2 cents, and my rant..

thats what i was thinking. my girlfriend is currently at NYU paying ~$50k/yr.
thats going to be a nice amount to live with for the rest of our lives..

youll never live without debt, and coping out of it wont teach you anything but that theres an easy way out.
like i said, not trying to be negative, but i hope she is denied. you shouldnt be bailed out because you just dont feel like paying it back.

That's what my debt is going to look like once I graduate. People in my line of work have always told me that it would take 7-8 years to pay it off on average, so hearing you say 30 years is really freaking me out.
yea she knows it's gonna mess up her credit but because she has been so behind she's already got a low score. filing is not gonna hurt her much more. hell we all know bad credit is better then no credit... hah.
i was for sure some people on here woulda filled before.. i know people who have filled in richmond over the summer and the next spring they got a new house loan and everything. i mean they give you a really shitty rate but they still give you the loans.
