need car painted!
i paid a little over a 1000. but the funny thing is...you speak of prep work and extra body work as if you actually did anything. lets be real here...you sanded the car/took off body vinyls (which is a given unless you were planning on painting over them), and painted what was agreed upon and that was it.dont act like you did some outstanding paint job for so little and you're the victim. the car looks like ass dude.
EDIT: all i want is my car fixed...like i said from the start i'm not after a show quality paint job. you said you would wetsand and buff to take all the major stuff out(runs, fisheye, white haze, overspary, orange peel). and if that didnt work you would re-spray at your expense...i'm not about to make you go that far but i'd appreciate if you actually wetsanded and buffed it to fix the major and embarrassing stuff that i just mentioned or threw me some dough so i can pay someone else to. the point is i'm not paying anymore out of pocket to fix this paint job. if that means legal action then so be it.

because i'm not a scumbag and we agreed on a price and thats what i'm going to pay you...especially when you told me you would fix the blemishes that i caught while i was there. as far as more money being offered...i thought it was good until i got the car in direct sunlight and noticed how f'ed up it was, or when i'm having lighting issues because their is paint in all the plugs for the tailights, or when i found missing paint spots, etc. when i get home from work i'll post pics of all the shit wrong with the paint job. and we'll let other people be the judge.

What do you want me to do??? Do you want me to just wetsand it and buff it, do you want me to respray it, or do you want some money back? You tell me. I did send you a pm stating that i was backed up for the next 3 weeks on 3/28/08, but fuck it... Ill put everything else aside (other than the 9-5)... lmk. As I told you Im a man of my word so let me know. But you have had the car back now for a month and some change (almost 2) and are now adding things to your list, i dont get it.
Hopefully nothing got scratched up/nicked when you were putting it all back together and now trying to blame me. But whatever, how do you want to resolve this issue so that we can both be at peace and get on w/ our lives.
Joey @ Stock Or Modified laid the paint on my targa Z06. Paint came out very nice w/o being wet sanded or buffed. After I assemble the car it will be going back to get buffed out to fix the remaining blemishes which are customary in an aftermarket paint booth (vs. the factory painting in a fully climate controlled center).
Pictures are poor as it's in my garage, but you get the idea, car is not fully re-assembled yet.

well im not going to be on either side...but a little over a grand is dirt cheap..i would not have done the outside for a grand(with no sticker stripping/bodywork/or anything)BUT BUT BUT if thats what you agreed on then you should get what you paid for ...ive underpriced jobs before on accident (overlooked something or mispriced something)but i eat bit because im not the type to call a customer and up the price when their car is torn half apart...just looks shady ...but if thats what you two agreed on then i guess something will have to be done...bmw-m if you end up having to respray this let me know a few days ahead of time and i can probably let you use my booth to paint it in....
no shit thats why i said it...but to his credit the painter should have never done it that cheap and also he gave the price so he should hold up his end...which he seems to be trying to do...i hope they can figure something out...
as far as the comments of the price...yeah its cheap, but the price i was given doesnt mean i dont have a right to complain if its not to my liking.
