it won't do shit if its seized. hydrolocked motors don't seize immediately or anytime near after. What happens is the rod bends and now hits the underside of the sleeve preventing the motor from turning over.
all oil would do is prevent rust from building up on the walls.

seriously? did i say that? no. i said that the ROD BENDS and therefore the ROD makes contact with the underside of the sleeve preventing the motor from turning over.

...or the rod breaks, or like whats common for hydrolocked chevy 6.0L (i bleieve) in the newer trucks, the piston will shatter around the rod. then the rod breaks out part of the block.
