Save your motor...

no ive bought defective stuff before but ive caught it before it broke shit. what im wondering is this....
the bottle pressure is going to be around 1,000psi
there is a certain jet in there that is flared to allow a certain amount of n2o through
same goes for fuel
the solenoids open, allowing the n2o/fuel to spray through the jet and into the intake tract
where is there room for error in there aside from a) the solenoids leak b) theyre not jetted properly c) the fuel solenoid is not working properly, going lean and causing detonation? and each of those can easily be tested/traced.
this is why i hate this zex crap. its supposedly the safest on the market... but seriously... a n2o system is not that complex. i dont see how the kit could be defective and blow your motor. if youre using a window switch, the solenoids wont receive power until you hit a safe RPM.
id trust myself and the look of my spark plugs before a zex system's "brain" any day. i think ive had some part of every brand of nitrous kit except for zex (not counting their bottle brackets.) and i keep it that way for a reason. 5+ kits, both wet and dry, later... still no blown engines.

Maybe but not in this case
