I've rode dirtbike's my whole life I had started with a 50 when i was like 7 years old and i still ride them to this day. But i just recently got my r6 and there is a WORLD of difference between a streetbike and dirtbike.
omg i love it...I find myself not being able to sleep at night when i know im going to go riding the next day. I like the silver as well. There are so many r6's and r1's that are blue it's ridiculous. I cant wait to take the msf course as well, turns kinda scare me. I guess im used to dirtbikes sliding out from under me in turns. I just "feel" the bike wants to do that as well but then i have to think just to keep on it and go with it. I'm going to spend a little bit of time adjusting the sag on it this weekend while is gonna be shitty weather and such. Still havnt been able to get around to that.
if you want a gixxer 6, i got one for sale...its a 2000 blue and black with sliver. i went with progressive for insurance on it they were nicely priced!!
i just bought a sv650s last month, and im glad i didnt get the cbr600rr like i wanted. the sv is plenty of bike. its my first one, and its got loads of power (atleast enough that i want). i dont think youll be dissappointed in it. im not
Started on a GS500 almost 9 years ago and I'm still riding it. Sure it runs out of steam on a long straight, but it's plenty fast enough to be fun and I can still smoke a poser on a sportbike when the road gets twisty. And honestly, I can hang with good riders on much bigger/faster bikes in the twisties too, as long as there's not too much open road for the hp to make a difference. Parts and insurance are dirt cheap too. When I get a little bored with it...I modify something.
