This happened to a friend of mine....

friend: "My exhaust is 50 state legal."
cop: "Well, you're in the commonwealth of Virginia!"
friend: "So, Virginia isn't a state!?!!?!"

Cop doesn't answer and writes the ticket. What a joke.

 

unfortunately, regardless of what the exhaust manufacturer claims, anything not a direct OEM replacement is illegal in VA

 

yea I got pulled over on sat night coming home from the movies with my family. A cop pulled me over and started checking out my tags and plates to see if I had expired tags to write me up (ain't that some shit) but luckily I renewed em so he didn't do anything about it and gave me warning that I gotta change it. whew I got lucky there but i still got a speeding ticket to pay for and gotta still take driver improvement class that saved me some money.

 

i can mod my exaust on my lightning and even if i cut off my exaust i still wont get pulled over!!!

Yeah most mods are illegal in va, as far as 50state, thats for emissions reasons only, not state safety related.

 

o yea....I think if you get pulled over by the same cop 3 times for an exhaust they can impound your car, but it might be for not having a front plate...i forgot but its one of the 2...

 

anything that is not oem-spec is illegal in va. i got so many tickets including the pop your hood and just starting jotting shiet down... so they told me that anything that isn't stock pretty much is illegal in va.. but sometimes you get away from some things according to what the cop is feeling like... so sometimes you get lucky sometimes you dont.. just deal with it... or go back stock...

 

So you are telling me that we can get tickets for Non-OEM spec aftermarket wheels? That is some horse shit if so....how do Escalades cruise with 22's?

About the exhaust decibel level....how the fukc do Harleys and other loud as Sh!t bikes get away with making 10 times what a Honda with an exhaust makes?

 

Because everyone knows about harleys and everyone loves harleys and harleys are famous. Fart cannons aren't.

From what i heard, they cops excuse is they are bikes so they need to be a little louder then cars to show other cars where they are so they dont get hit.
