All weather tires in VA?
Azeni's-great for dry days...not much else. even new they suck in the rain or snow.
Kuhmo Ecsta Supra-shit tire, i wouldnt use it if you paid me. and i sell kuhmo's....
i ran a set of Nitto NT555's in the snow once...they sucked too. the NT450's however were a pretty good tire, for all weather use. not good on ice, but there isnt much that is.
as for the weather comments...i have been all up and down the east coast, chicago, etc. we may not get as much snow as other places, and we may not have all the stuff to deal with alot of snow if we get it, but we get more ice then anything. its the temperature...in rochester, there is ice, but not as much as around here, mainly cause the snow never melts off in the day to refreeze at night like it does here.
i would get a set of blizzaks if you can afford them, on a set of steelies or something. or just some new tires...it does make a nice difference.

idiot.
I'm putting Kumho's on my car. Because I bought them for my V6 Camaro (which had no power, so no need for good tires) and they are like brand new and I'm not buying new ones until I need too.
But how about this. Don't drive your car in the snow, buy a truck.

id tell you to try and avoid the snow just for the hell of it. but the tires you listed is just what everyone else said. my friend had azenis on his car and it wouldnt make it up a drive way.

My tiburon has a lot of low end torque, and is a heavy mofo. ABS kick in really easily, and sliding is an issue. That being said.. it is fw drive and i can generally control it. Car came stock with Michelin Pilot sports and I went through our latest blizard on those -- to include getting stuck in Harrisonburg VA. Treads would fill up with snow/ice and i might as well have been runnin on slicks. I will say -- any performance tire SUCKS in snow. However -- if the roads were so bad that i couldn't handle them in my car -- the roads were really too bad for my car with Snow tires or what not. Learn to drive in the snow and you'll get by -- best bet is just to stay outta it all together if possible. For the amount of time you'll have to deal with it -- i don't think it's worth getting a new set of tires/wheels. If i got new wheels i'd use my old ones as winter set, but i wouldn't have anywhere to store em.
Just cause you can drive fine doesn't mean Soccer mom in her POS SUV which handles even worse won't hit ya... stupid ppl.....

I own these - haven't tested them in the snow yet, but I am sure they will make me happy like they have been. They are excellent tires.
