Fuck no you don't need turbo on those, a stock H22 in a pk Lude spanks my turbo. Walks all over GST's, puts 1.5 cars on the new Spec-V's.. Uh not sure on other kills it made.

EDIT: Specs on the 92 Lude:
99 H22a4 (JDM)
96 H22 trany
92 H23 ECU (Note: Wrong ECU, NO V-Tec, running rich, 2k rpm rev limited)
Racing clutch (full face)
Injen Intake
Apex World Sport exhaust

Why not just put a b16 in there and get a feel for how that is for atleast a couple months before thinking about turbo? I have a b16 in a car thats alot heavier and i think its fine for me right now, I can only imagine what it would be like in a 1800lb car. People our age are too stupid to handle 300hp CRXs..

b16 in crx are not as fast as people think, but going from that shitty stock engine(dx,HF) is such an improvment

B16's are a cheap decently powered motor, they run from mid 14's to mid-low 13's depending on driver and other mods (clutch, tires, wheels ect.). The only problem is see with them is the pussy little bit of torque it has.

Just to let you know, all of the D,B and H series Honda engines have ring land failure problems when using stock pistons. But that should be expected from an engine that was designed to never see forced induction.

In my opinion, buy a b16a complete changeover. Invest in a set of forged pistons and rods. A set of valvesprings and retainers wouldn't be a bad idea either. Then get yourself a nice T3/T04 setup with a high pressure fuel pump and some 550cc injectors. Tune with Hondata and 300 whp shouldn't be a problem at all.

Granted, turning a N/A motor to turbo isn't the best idea, but it is done. High-comp. with a LS block sounds like best bang for the buck. Turbo on any Honda is pointless unless you have money to re-build the entire motor just to hold 7 psi. Alota money, not a whole lotta power.
