gsr oil pump on an LS

thats the ODB2 oil pump right? if so, i think i have to change my lower timing cover, i think those pumps have the CFD sensor mount to them. and the ls timing cover would stick out to far, i might be able to trim the ls cover down... not to sure.... thanks guys

No need to go aftermarket on an oil pump even if you're pushin over 600whp

Stick with the OEM.

dumbass... god u people suck. yes you can get away with a stock pump just get a new one from the dealer. problem comes in at high rpm, the stock gears will shatter trying to push that much oil, at pressure.

yes stock will be ok, if ur makin over 600hp the stocker is going to sooner or later fail.... but how many of u are going to make that power?

the gears arent really the big issue, usually the housing will get trashed before the gears wear out. dealer, new pump, cheap insurance. afterall its only the single most important piece in your engine

That's the first I heard off this. I never had a problem with one.
