Depends on how bad your driving record is. If you only have the otehr reckless from 2 years ago, you will probably just end up with a fine. Also depends on why you got the reckless? I have to do 2 weekends for a reckless, but I was clocked doing 104mph.

 

Definately take the class. I took the class before going to court for my reckless ticket, so instead of them taking away my license or anything worse, they saw that I already took the class, and that I showed initiative, and just gave me a little community service. It will never hurt to do that.

 

break your speedomoter and tell them your speedometerwas off. heard about it, and worked for some.

If you don't get a lawyer, I would say you are looking at at least 3 days in jail.

It's never too late to get a lawyer. You can ask for a continuance, and I'd imagine the judge would say something about how you waited to the last minute to get a lawyer, instead of acting responsibly and getting counsel sooner, but he/she would probably grant it the first time.

My lawyer got my case continued three times.

 

what are you basing the 3 days in jail on? seen it happen to my situation? i'd love to get a lawyer but man....$500?!? i'm broke haha some say I might get a fine/reduced/jail time.... sigh

 

Don't tell the judge you waited til the last minute, tell him you need one more paycheck before you could afford your lawyer.
