I think that we can all believe you. But he is an idiot. Everyone knows that a free flowing exhuast helps. But lets think about theory of back-pressure, turbo spool, and flat out stupidity.

No backpressure + big turbo + one dumbass trying to build a car he knows nothing about = worthless. Good luck making power before 25,000 rpms (which I know that your car will do becuase the internet told me so)

really... where's the dyno sheet?
oh, you dont have one? okay.

*Edit*

But really the question in hand isn't how much hp will you get on a turboII from a turbo-back exhaust, let's say somehow you make 50whp a muffler really won't restrict the power by alot, and is not worth the risk you would take of runnin straight pipe back, considering the volume rx-7s push out

as well as... did you run the presilencers when you installed it? and the last time I checked the RB exhaust came with a muffler?

Shut your fuckin trap, kid. The fact remains you don't know jack shit about what your claiming right now. You're a fucking tool trying to tell me what I do and don't know. Why don't come to my house and I'll teach you a thing or two about the shit you claim I don't know jack shit about.

And yes, Racing Beat has mufflers. Their exhuast by design is by far the best exhuast system for an Rx-7 on the planet.

This whole thread was made to see the reaction of people thought about it. Many people think I may be okay and others like you think I would an absolute fuckin' idiot if I tried this on a public road. My opinion is that I don't stand much a chance to not recieve a ticket within a year for this.

If you want, I'll invite you & the spics to come over the day I am ready to take the car for a spin. So you can run your mouth all day when see it break down in front of your eyes.

I don't know shit about what im claiming? the fact that a muffler won't cause severe hp loss? please... then get a fucking RB exhaust and shut the fuck up, I didn't know you were gonna get all pussy hurt for me stating my opinion in a thread that u asked for opinions... you know you wouldn't stand a chance... i'm still waitin to see a dyno where someone nets 50whp from an exhaust(stayin at the same psi), and If I'm wrong I'll admit to it, but I highly doubt anyone has seen that from an rx-7 yes they respond well to mods, but like i said mid 20's is probably the best you're gonna get... so now you know, just get a fucking exhaust and you'll be fine, and no I don't wanna see your car nor would i want to be anywhere near you or spic unless you need someone to work the stopwatch while you record your 1/4 mile time?

... ask yourself this, why can't you get 3" straight pipe to one resonator to a muffler to a stock looking tip? you might sacrifice 5whp?

its a little more than just 5 whp...

so if preston is correct in saying he got 47whp out of the RB exhaust which comes with a muffler and piping... that by running open dp you should see over 52whp?

I don't know if Preston is referring to the horsepower increase related to the stock horsepower or to the increase he saw in his car's previous horsepower. But a 47 horsepower increase is quite a lot.

Either way the exhaust is an extremely significant piece to making power on Rx-7s (any car really to that matter). By running an open downpipe on a Rx-7, you would see well over 5whp. The downpipe on the Rx-7 sucks ass and has a precat in it, they are a real power robber.

EDIT: JerseyV, I respect your opinion, but what I don't respect is people telling me my car won't make it out of the driveway. Wouldn't it piss you off if a car you put money and A LOT of time into was told from someone that it won't even make it down the street? I think I already know the answer.
