i live in newport news and i haven't had a problem with the police at all. i stay away from va beach for all the reasons that people have listed on this site. i will only go there for school and that is it. i live about 3 mins from CNU and the cops there a pretty chill when it comes to tuner cars unless it sat night and your are around kroger and acting a damn fool.
